Vertex Dentures
Vertex™ Thermosens Full and Partial Dentures
Vertex™ Thermosens is a innovative, virtually unbreakable, monomer-free rigid denture base material. Making Vertex™ Thermosens suitable for both full and partial dentures.
Vertex™ dentures are a promising alternative for those patients unwilling or unable to accept dentures made from materials that could give rise to allergic reactions or other sensitivity problems. No liquid chemicals (monomer) are added to Vertex™ Thermosens material during the process of manufacture. Therefore, offering the patient an allergy-free appliance.
Thermosens’ strength and comfort is beyond comparison with any other denture base material. Its rigid body allows for a thinner denture to be made which fits perfectly and comfortably in the patient’s mouth. Unlike acrylic, when dropped or mishandled its thermoplastic base will ensure that the impact is absorbed rather than dispersed, thus avoiding fractures or total separation.
Typically nylon materials have a relatively high contraction rate of usually around 5-7%. Vertex™ Thermosens has reduced contraction rate to about 1%, allowing for an excellent fit due to the lack of volume shrinkage. Crystalline filling materials have also been added which makes Vertex™ Thermosens dentures very easy to polish to a high lustre. This makes the material resistant to water absorption and unsightly staining.
Vertex™ Thermosens is versatile to work with, it can be used to rebase, reline and even repair dentures when needed. We offer a variety of 15 shades* to choose from (as shown below), in order to provide the most aesthetically pleasing appliance.
